Healing Through Ho’oponopono

Healing Through Ho’oponopono

Ho’oponopono is a Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness.

The philosophy is that  anything in our reality is our responsibility. We create our reality, therefore the positive and the negative is a reflection of ourselves. Any problem you have, you have created. Anything, anyone that bothers you, angers you, frightens you. It reflects some part of you that requires healing. Whatever problem you are experiencing – YOU ARE THERE.

The late Hawaiian sage Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona taught this method to Dr. Stanley Hew Len, a clinical psychologist, who more than thirty years ago, arrived at a Hawaiian State Hospital and applied the method to a ward of criminally insane patients.

He never physically visited the patients. He took their files, read them and recited the healing mantra of Ho’oponopono;

“I love you, I am sorry, please forgive me, thank you.”

The atmosphere of the hospital and the  patients began to improve and eventually the clinic was closed

Remember, it is not about fault. It is about taking responsibility for what is being reflected in your reality, presenting you with the opportunity to heal.

The patients that were in Dr. Hew Len’s reality, reflected a part of him that required healing, a cleaning, a clearing, releasing. Repeatedly saying the mantra in order to heal himself, released the criminally insane from their darkness.

Anything, near or far is your responsibility. This world is Your world, a projection of
your creativity. It is for us to heal ourselves. To return to what Dr. Hew Len refers to as the void, to zero, where Divine love resides.

An Exercise:

Place your right hand over your heart. Close your eyes and think of the problem before you. Calmly accept responsibility and begin repeating with heartfelt sincerity.

“I Love You. I am Sorry. Please Forgive Me. Thank you.”

What do you choose to invite into your reality? The continued problem or the healing?

What you see outside, is and will always be, a reflection of what is inside of you.

Something to think about, to consider…

Even better;

Something to practice,  and practice,  and practice, again.
