“Simpler explanations are, other things being equal,generally better than more complex ones”. Occam’s Razor
You don’t like the way your day is going – perhaps, you don’t like the way your life is going. Now before you throw in the towel, believing that there is no easy solution. Perhaps it is easier than you think.
Start by asking yourself – do you want to support the lie or the truth? Now listen to yourself – hear your thoughts, pay attention to the words that come out of your mouth.
Finanaces
You have expenses that are approaching and you don’t feel you will have enough money to meet them.
“I never have enough money. I don’t know how I’m going to pay for all of this. I knew I should have waited, but I didn’t and now, look what I’ve done; again! Just when I think I can get ahead, something else comes along that I need to pay for. I’m always behind…”
PIVOT
Release the lie, embrace the truth. What you want the truth to be.
“I have the money I need. I meet all financial obligations with ease and on time. I handle my finances wisely. I receive the finances I need from expected and unexpected sources…”
Meeting or Interview
“I won’t get it. I probably don’t have what their looking for. I don’t even know if I want it. They won’t take my suggestions, no one listens. I’m not good enough…”
Is this your truth? Is this what you want? Did I hear you say no? Of course I did – so;
PIVOT
Into the truth.
“I have a great job in an environment that is beneficial to me, where I learn and contribute. I receive quality pay for quality work. I work with a great team of people. I have ideas to share that are the best for all concerned. I work with people I enjoy and who enjoy me…”
Wieght
“I hate my body. Just a fatty, I’ll always be a fatty. Nothing works, it’s no use. Who cares anyways. No one’s looking and when they are, no one sees me – they just see I’m fat…”
Now wait a minute! The truth is, you have a great body. Look at everything it does for you. I’m not going to tell you – you take a few minutes and think about it. Now be grateful and say thank you.
Give your body the support it deserves. Forget about how other’s see you, what they think. What you’re thinking and saying is far more damaging.
Reach out to the truth – what you want – not what you don’t want and begin. Change direction and;
PIVOT
“I love my body – I have a great body. I support it and nourish it. Every day in every way I am healthier and healthier.”
Now, I already know there’s going to be those that try this once and wait to see the results; and yes there are times Life gives us an instant reward. But sometimes Life wants to see just how sincere we are.
After all you may have been sporting years and years of lies and now you try this PIVOT exercise once and its just not strong enough yet. You may have to PIVOT hundreds of times. Don’t be a silly fool and be one of those, “I tried it and it doesn’t work.” Is that what you want? Of course you don’t.
PIVOT
All is working out for my highest good. Every day in every way I get better and better.”
Life does not ask you to be perfect. It asks you to stay in the game and apply an honest effort. “I can’t do this.” PIVOT. “Yes I can.” See you’re getting the hang of it already.
